The revenue supports tourism marketing and beach operations including cleaning and maintaining beaches, lifeguards, destination improvements, and preservation initiatives.

Beach Safety Digital Campaign

As part of Walton County's commitment to beach safety, the TDC allocates funding to drive in-market awareness of the beach flag system to both visitors and locals, as well as the promotion of signups for our daily text message alerts*. These targeted ads appear on a variety of platforms, from Facebook and Twitter to Pandora, The Weather Channel, Accuweather, SoWal.com and 30A.com. * Text "safety" to 31279 receive daily Gulf condition and beach flag updates.
