SALES + VISITOR CENTER

The goal of the sales team is to generate new business opportunities and build awareness of South Walton as a destination for the meetings and conventions, incentives, weddings, and consumer travel markets. We aim to be a trusted source of information while inspiring travel to South Walton.

 

Recently Attended Shows/Events:

• • Rendezvous South, May 10-12 in Lake Charles, LA: The sales team met with 18 meeting planners seeking information on meeting destinations in the Southern U.S.

  • Small Market Meetings Summit, May 12-13 in Panama City Beach: The sales team had 25, 12-minute appointments with meeting planners from across the country searching for smaller meeting destinations. South Walton was a sponsor, so the VSW logo was displayed on all aisle signs throughout the mission floor, on all booth numbers, on the conference monitor during appo[intments, and on all conference materials and signage.

  • I Heart Media's Bourbon and Bubbles event, May 22 in Franklin, TN: South Walton was the presenting sponsor for this spaciously appointed, outdoor event where we targeted leisure travelers for shoulder and off-season. The event was attended by almost 2,000 people and the sales team was able to collect 172 email addresses.

Visitor Center Updates:

For the month of May, the Visitor Center welcomed 1,559 guests and sold $14,825 in merchandise. We offer a convenient in-store pickup option is available through our online store, so visitors or residents who are nearby can place an order online and skip the shipping costs by picking up their merchandise at the Visitor Center. Curbside pickup is also available.
