The goal of the sales team is to generate new business opportunities and build awareness of Walton County as a destination for the meetings and conventions, incentives, weddings, and consumer travel markets. We aim to be a trusted source of information while inspiring group travel to Walton County.

Destinations of Florida in Tallahassee
On March 26, the Group Sales team participated in a new event, Destinations of Florida. The event was held at Parkview at Cascades Park in Tallahassee where we participated with 17 other Florida destinations to sponsor an interactive event for meeting planners based in Florida. Approximately 60 meeting planners attended, and the participating destinations were showcased while we experienced several hours of networking and interacting to promote Walton County as a meetings destination. We’re currently in the process of following up with the attendees.

Visitor Center Updates:
The visitor center staff welcomed 1,956 people during the month of March and sold $23,367 in branded merchandise. Our featured item for April is our new Authentic Walton Travel Mug available HERE.
