The goal of the sales team is to generate new business opportunities and build awareness of Walton County as a destination for the meetings and conventions, incentives, weddings, and consumer travel markets. We aim to be a trusted source of information while inspiring group travel to Walton County.

Florida Encounter in Miami, Feb. 4-6
Sales Manager Lisa Bulriss represented Walton County Tourism at Florida Encounter, which is produced by Visit Florida. It is Florida’s premier trade show for hosted meeting planner to become familiar with Florida’s meeting and event destinations and hotels. She had approximately 30 one-on-one appointments with qualified meeting planners and received a total of five RFP’s (Request for Proposals) that were distributed to partners.
Rendezvous South in Spartanburg, S.C., Feb. 26-29
Bulriss also participated in Rendezvous South in Spartanburg, S.C. This show is exclusively designed to bring together meeting planners and destinations from across the South. Three RFPs resulted from the 20 one-on-one appointments and were distributed to partners whose properties met the group’s specifications.

Visitor Center Updates:
The visitor center staff welcomed 2,346 people during the month of February and sold $25,844 in branded merchandise. Our featured item for March is the new Corkcicle Cruiser Cup and Corkcicle Cold Cup XL.
