2022 Walton County Artist of the Year:
Applications for the 2022 Walton County Artist of the Year will be accepted from Aug. 16 through Sept. 17. Now in its 20th year, this award recognizes a local artist who lives and works in Walton County and whose signature style embodies the creativity and beauty for which the area is known.
Application and contest rules can be found at www.waltoncountyaoy.com. The deadline for submissions is Friday, Sept. 17 at 4 p.m.

2022 Perfect in South Walton Awards:
It's that time of year again! The nomination period for the 2022 Perfect in South Walton Awards will be open from Aug. 16 through Sept. 10. We encourage both residents and visitors to nominate their favorite South Walton businesses, events, and activities through our online form at www.perfectinsouthwalton.com.
Nominations can be made in as many or as few categories as you wish, but we will accept only one complete online form per person (no duplicates will be accepted). Our visitor-facing partners may encourage their guests, customers, social media followers, friends, and family to nominate them. Partners can CLICK HERE to download Perfect Award nomination graphics on their social media accounts to drum up support and nominations.
The top five nominees in each category will move on to the voting round, which begins Sept. 27 and runs through Oct. 22 on www.perfectinsouthwalton.com. The top three businesses, events or activities with the highest number of votes in each category will be recognized as Diamond, Platinum or Gold winners during the Perfect in South Walton Awards presentation in January 2022. Winners will be promoted in print and online throughout the year.

Media Hot Leads Program:
We've launched a MEDIA HOT LEADS PROGRAM, designed to share media requests for your input directly and in real-time. Our PR agency, TURNER, will be sharing media requests with you through this dedicated email program, and you will be able to directly submit your information for media consideration. Please note, submitting your information is not a guarantee that you will be included in editorial coverage but ensures you are considered for inclusion.
Each email will detail the media request, as well as any special requirements from the journalist. Some of the leads might not be relevant to all our tourism partners, but the program will enable you to more easily share your news when relevant and could potentially result in additional media coverage. Please feel free to have any of your team, or PR agency partners, sign up to receive the media leads to ensure your ability to respond.
