2021-22 Co-Op Advertising Program:

Visit South Walton is committed to supporting local tourist-facing businesses, and we have again created robust cooperative advertising opportunities as a cost-effective way to help extend partners' marketing message in partnership with the South Walton brand.

To make the sign-up process more efficient and easier, we've developed a web-based application to manage the process and create an intuitive experience for participation. We will conduct a preview webinar on Thursday, May 13 from 9-9:30 a.m. to walk through the new process.

  • The Co-Op Sales Period opens on Monday, May 17 at 9 a.m. CDT on a first-come, first-serve basis and closes Friday, May 21 at 4 p.m. CDT.
  • The 2022 CO-OP SALES KIT is now available for review. 


April Website Stats:

  • Users & Page Views: 
    • This month there were a total of 202,595 page views and 92,268 unique visits. 
    • Users who visited the site in April were mostly female (63%), between the ages 25-34 (22%), and new visitors (87%). Returning visitors saw a decrease compared to March, accounting for 14% of all traffic to the website in April.
    • The number of sessions on the site increased in April, but the number of unique users decreased, suggesting that returning users spent a greater amount of time browsing the website.
    • Most of the traffic to the website in April came from organic search (33%), paid search (26%), and direct (13%).
  • Devices:
    • Consistent with previous months, mobile devices were the primary driver of traffic to the website, making up 67% of total sessions. While mobile devices brought in the most sessions, desktops continued to account for the most engagement in average session duration (2:02), the highest number of pages per session (2.5), and the lowest bounce rate (49%).
  • Geography:
    • Top Cities: Atlanta, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Houston, Nashville and Mobile-Pensacola.
    • In April, users from Texas, Georgia and Florida were responsible for the most sessions.
  • Most viewed pages:
  • Online Visitor Guide Data:
    • Travel Guide page views increased (14%) and average time on page decreased (2%) to 2:29.
    • In March, there were a total of 620 Visitor Guide requests.

Beach Safety Collateral:

The safety of South Walton's beachgoers is a priority. In addition to funding the South Walton Fire District's beach safety lifeguards, the TDC shares beach safety information in a variety of ways, including beach safety flags at our beach access points, printed materials (like our beach guides, specialty guides/magazines, coasters at local restaurants and beach flag magnets), beach condition text messages and in-person interactions with beachgoers through our Beach Ambassador and Volunteer Beach Ambassador programs.
