Hospitality & Service Industry Job Fair:

The Walton County Tourism Department is pleased to help support our partners and community by hosting a Hospitality & Service Industry Job Fair, on Friday, Jan. 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club Building at 427 Greenway Trail in Santa Rosa Beach.

With the spring tourism season right around the corner, we know local businesses are looking to bolster their staff, so this is a great opportunity for job seekers to network and meet with participating companies for information about employment opportunities.

Registration for interested companies has been extended through Friday, Dec. 30. Up to 50 booths will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. To register, CLICK HERE.

Tourist Development Council Update:

At the Dec. 6 Tourist Development Council meeting, Tourism Director Matt Algarin presented outgoing council members Jim Shirley and Jennifer Frost, council chair, with plaques in recognition of their years of dedicated service.

Additionally, they welcomed Brian Moffatt with Royal Destinations, who was recently appointed to the council to fill an open seat. 

 

Free Hospitality Job Listings:

The Walton County Tourism Department supports our partners who are looking to add members to their teams. A jobs listings page was created on our website to share openings and opportunities. If you're currently hiring staff in the hospitality industry, we hope this is a great resource for you.

Perfect in Walton County Awards:

The top three businesses with the highest number of votes in each category will be recognized as Diamond, Platinum or Gold winners at the Perfect in Walton County Awards in January 2023. 2023 Walton County Artist of the Year:

The Artist of the Year winner will be featured in the Perfect guide and announced during the Perfect in Walton County Awards in January 2023. This community program showcases local artists, promoting the selected artist’s work throughout the year through a variety of publicity opportunities and events. The winner will also receive $4,000 in exchange for a commissioned piece of artwork that will be on display in Walton County.
