The goal of the sales team is to generate new business opportunities and build awareness of South Walton as a destination for the meetings and conventions, incentives, weddings, and consumer travel markets. We aim to be a trusted source of information while inspiring group travel to South Walton.

 

Recent Industry Events

 

FL Society of Association Executives Annual Meeting – Participated and sponsored in this annual event that brings together Florida Association meeting planners with destinations and hotels that can host their events. South Walton sponsored the pocket agenda so that when each attendee checked their agenda multiple times per day throughout the entire event, they saw the South Walton logo. The goal is to keep our destination top of mind for Florida meetings. 

 

At this conference, our own Kim Wetzel – National Sales Manager for Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort – was named 2022 FSAE Associate of the Year! The Associate of the Year Award honors an association supplier whose dedication and leadership also advance the industry.

Visitor Center Updates:

For the month of July, the Visitor Center welcomed 1,365 guests and sold $16,446 in merchandise. 

 

Merchandise Spotlight: Turkish Towels

With the summer season in full swing, our Turkish Towels are Perfect for pools, sandy beaches, concerts in the park, and spontaneous picnics. Hand-crafted in Turkey, these towels are sustainably grown and made of 100% Turkish cotton and natural fibers that are certified Oeko-Tex 100 and feature an embroidered South Walton logo.
