The goal of the sales team is to generate new business opportunities and build awareness of South Walton as a destination for the meetings and conventions, incentives, weddings, and consumer travel markets. We aim to be a trusted source of information while inspiring group travel to South Walton.

Cvent CONNECT — April 11-14
- The sales team participated in Cvent CONNECT where they met directly with meeting planners from around the country to showcase Walton County as a premier meetings destination. This hybrid event offered one-on-one appointments, educational breakouts, and networking opportunities.
Upcoming Industry Events
Rendezvous South — May 9-11
- Event planners and destinations from across the South come together for this boutique-style event where planners will explore and meet with teams from each destination participating in the show.
MPI North FL Chapter Golf Tournament — May 23
- Visit South Walton is a sponsor for this tournament in Jacksonville and is expecting 50 participants.
Visitor Center Updates:
For the month of April, the Visitor Center welcomed 1,372 guests and sold $14,206 in merchandise. We celebrated National Travel and Tourism Week in the visitor center by highlighting many of our local restaurants in South Walton and offering a variety of sweet treats. This year, we showcased treats from The Donut Hole, Chanticleer, Black Bear Bread Company, Sweet Henrietta's, and Pecan Jacks. In addition to the tasty treats, each visitor who stopped by received a South Walton wine tote, 10 oz. Tervis Tumbler, and a stainless steel straw.

These shirts are 100% pre-shrunk cotton with our South Walton logo screen printed on the front left chest. On the back are the beach neighborhoods of South Walton, — Miramar Beach, Seascape, Sandestin, Dune Allen, Santa Rosa Beach, Gulf Place, Blue Mountain Beach, Grayton Beach, WaterColor, Seaside, Seagrove, WaterSound, Seacrest, Alys Beach, Rosemary Beach, and Inlet Beach — as well as the towns of Freeport, DeFuniak Springs and Paxton.
Our new tees are available in small, large, XL, 2XL and 3XL, and the following colors: Blue Jean, Chalky Mint, Grey, Seafoam, and White. Additional sizes and colors are coming soon.
