The goal of the sales team is to generate new business opportunities and build awareness of South Walton as a destination for the meetings and conventions, incentives, weddings, and consumer travel markets. We aim to be a trusted source of information while inspiring group travel to South Walton.

 

Recent Industry Event:

• CONNECT Marketplace, Aug. 30-Sept. 1 

• • At this event in Tampa, we had 3 sets of appointments with Association and Corporate Meeting Planners. In total, we met one-on-one with 100 meeting planners from around the country. WE also exhibited in the tradeshow where we featured South Walton's art scene by allowing planners to make their own piece of art from Mary Hong Studios.

Dedicated Email Blasts:

Be on the lookout for dedicated email blasts going to FSAE, GSAE, TSAE, and several MPI chapters in the coming weeks featuring South Walton as a meetings destination. Activities including bonfires, paddleboarding, golf, fishing, art, culinary, and hiking and biking will be highlighted. We'll be including this beautiful new image (Warm Reception) from our recent photoshoot.

With such a wide variety of venues and accommodations, South Walton has the flexibility to welcome meetings from a 10-person executive retreat to a 1,500-person convention. But it’s the incredible activities (and the scenery surrounding them) that make a gathering here such an unforgettable experience. When your productive meeting has adjourned, it’s time to explore a world of fun team-building opportunities that await in these 16 unique beach neighborhoods.

Step out of the conference room and into the pristine natural landscapes. There are countless corners to explore, with hundreds of miles of hiking and biking paths, including the Timpoochee Trail.

If you prefer walking on water, try stand-up paddleboarding across one of South Walton’s rare coastal dune lakes. Local outfitters such as YOLO Board + Bike can supply all the gear you’ll need to get going. Talk about a great way to bring everyone together to create group balance!

Visitor Center Updates:

For the month of August, the Visitor Center welcomed 1,313 guests and sold $11,905 in merchandise. We offer a convenient in-store pickup option is available through our online store, so visitors or residents who are nearby can place an order online and skip the shipping costs by picking up their merchandise at the Visitor Center. Curbside pickup is also available.
