ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• A gracious, friendly, patient and helpful attitude towards guests and colleagues
• Provide full bar service including wine, beer, crafted cocktails, and food in accordance with established CTZN service protocols and standards
• Thorough knowledge of all CTZN offerings (food menus, wine, spirits, daily specials, etc.) while being aware of all potential allergens
• Checking identification of guests to verify they are of legal drinking age and be knowledgeable of what qualifies as legally acceptable identification
• Record drink and food orders accurately into POS system
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and proper bartending technique
• Respond promptly to requests from guests in a polite and professional fashion
• Attempt to limit problems related to customers' excessive drinking by following established procedures
• Promptly address guest service issues and refer guests to management when necessary
• Ensure that the bar is clean and organized and maintained throughout service
• Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to health, safety and hygiene standards and policies
• Proper cash handling and maintenance of an accurate cash drawer
• Monitor inventory of all house made items and keep up with established pars
• Contribute to team effort by taking part in cocktail development, daily prep, team meetings, training of new hires, and the overall daily functions of bar operations
• Perform opening and closing duties as established by managers
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards
• Fill in for shortages as needed
• Assist with special events as needed

REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior bartending experience in high-volume dining
• Experience utilizing Point-of-Sale software desired
• Well-rounded knowledge of specialty/craft cocktails, spirits and wine service
• Working knowledge of food and beverage laws and regulations
• Fluent English oral and written communication skills
• Ability to do basic math quickly such as in making change, figuring tips, and calculating amounts of mixer and alcohol when making drinks
• Polished and professional style with a passion for service and hospitality
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communications skills required with an engaging and friendly personality
• Ability to multi-task and work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, teamwork environment

• Work is performed in a busy restaurant - floors may be wet or slippery, frequent/extreme temperature changes, and excessive noise
• Manual dexterity is essential with the ability to use bar tools, knives and equipment adeptly
• Ability to be on feet for several hours at a time, as well as, bend, stoop, reach, crouch, kneel, lift, push and pull. Properly lift up to 50-75 pounds; push, pull or move items weighing up to 100 pounds
