Group Sales Updates:
The goal of the sales team is to generate new business opportunities and build awareness of South Walton as a destination for the meetings and conventions, incentive, weddings, and consumer travel markets. We aim to be a trusted source of information while inspiring travel to South Walton.
- Recently Attended Shows/Events:
- Two bridal shows (Houston and Dallas) that exposed South Walton to more than 1,000 brides-to-be.
- SMART Meetings National Virtual Tradeshow, which resulted in 15 one-on-one appointments with meeting planners actively searching for meeting destinations.
- Meeting Planners Roundtable:
- Visit South Walton is sponsoring an FSAE Meeting Planners Roundtable in Tallahassee in March. There will be an opportunity for partner(s) to participate and present to planners. Details will be shared soon.
Visitor Center Updates:
The Visitor Center is open and guests are being assisted in an open-air environment while socially distanced. We expect to reopen the inside of the visitor center by the end of the month.
For the month of January, the Visitor Center welcomed 951 guests and sold $7,928 in merchandise. A convenient in-store pickup option is available through our online store, so visitors or residents who are nearby can place an order online and skip the shipping costs by picking up their merchandise at the Visitor Center. Curbside pickup is also available.
