Group Sales Updates:
Recently Attended Shows:
- Connect Florida Marketplace (Nov. 8-9), Orlando
- Staff participated in 29 seven-minute appointments with meeting planners interested in booking business in Northwest Florida.
- Smart Meetings Conference (Nov. 8-10), Nashville
- Staff participated in 25 seven-minute appointments with meeting planners interested in booking business in Northwest Florida.
As a follow up to each appointment, meeting planners will receive a South Walton Discovery Box to learn more about the destination and meetings. In addition to attending these shows, the group sales team is preparing for upcoming leisure shows.
Guides and Toolkits:
The sales team is currently in the process of creating a 2021 Meetings Brochure, creating a toolkit for the event grant program, researching a 2021 Film Brochure and webpage and working with event/group partners on FY21 opportunities.
Visitor Center Updates:
The Visitor Center is open and guests are being assisted in an open-air environment while socially distanced.
For the month of November, the Visitor Center welcomed 611 guests and sold $8,186 in merchandise. A convenient in-store pickup option is available through our online store, so visitors or residents who are nearby can place an order online and skip the shipping costs by picking up their merchandise at the Visitor Center.
