COVID-19 Efforts:
In light of the impacts of COVID-19, the Communications team has created and is constantly updating a COVID-19 Travel Updates web page linked from our Visit South Walton homepage. Here, you’ll find information about how to assist local businesses, which businesses are offering special services to help cope during this time, and also which businesses are temporarily closed.

Annual Meeting and Tourism Week:
All of the events planned for the 2020 National Travel and Tourism Week (May 3-9, 2020) have been canceled, including the Walton County Tourist Development Council Annual Meeting that was to be held on May 4th. These events included the Tourism Industry Workshops. The Annual Meeting might be rescheduled for a later date, but no concrete plans have been made at this time. The TDC is committed to following the national, state and county orders as mandated.
Van Ness Butler Jr. Hospitality Award:
The 2020 Van Ness Butler Jr. Hospitality Award program and presentation have been indefinitely delayed due to concerns related to COVID-19. The nominations that were already submitted will be held until the next nomination period. Questions regarding Tourism Week events or the Van Ness Butler Award can be directed to Lisa Foster at Lisa@visitsouthwalton.com.
