Group Sales Missions and Events: 

Recently attended by Visit South Walton Staff:

Destination Southeast: Hosted by Northstar Meetings Group, this tradeshow brought highly-qualified meeting planners and CVBs and hoteliers from the southeast together. Staff had 17 one-on-one pre-scheduled appointments over a 2-day span.

Luxury Meetings Summit: Staff attended the Luxury Meeting Summits in Raleigh and Charlotte, NC. During the two days, staff had 40, 8-minute appointments with meeting planners in those markets.

Connect Florida: Staff traveled to St. Petersburg for Connect Florida. Connect Florida is implemented by Collison Media in conjunction with FSAE. The 2-day conference joined Florida suppliers with meeting planners with qualified Florida business. Staff conducted 27 mutually matched one-on-one 6-minute appointments.                 

Florida Encounter: Florida Encounter, presented by VISIT Florida, was held at the Sheraton Panama City Beach Golf & Spa Resort. Florida Encounter, a 3-day one-on-one appointment tradeshow that brought together 200 attendees made up of qualified meeting professionals and Florida destinations, hotels and resorts. Staff held 22, 12-minute appointments.

Florida Encounter Pre-FAM: Visit South Walton partnered with the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa to provide the accommodations host one of Florida Encounter destination Pre-FAMs. Seven meeting planners arrived 2 days early to experience what South Walton had to offer.        

Upcoming:

IPEC: This is a new tradeshow to the sales missions. Hosted by Northstar Meetings Group, this tradeshow brings highly-qualified independent meeting planners and CVBs and hoteliers from across the country together in an educational setting. Staff will have one-on-one pre-scheduled appointments over a 2-day span.

 

Visitor Center Updates:

• December 2019: 1,132 visitors, up 60% over December 2018's total of 707
• Merchandise Sales:
• December 2019: $8,686.00, up 139% over December 2018 sales of $3,635.
