The Walton County Tourism Department celebrates National Travel and Tourism Week, May 7-13, with educational events and activities highlighting how tourism supports the Walton County economy and way of life. Throughout the week the Visitor Information Center staff will be giving away free souvenirs to visitors at the center.

Open House:

Join us at the Walton County Tourism Open House on Friday, May 12, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Visitor Information Center, located on the corner of U.S. Highways 98 and 331 in Santa Rosa Beach. Tourism Director Matt Algarin and department directors will be on-hand to answer questions and share insights about Walton County as a top-tier vacation and meetings destination and the role of the Walton County Tourism Department. 

Enjoy light bites from favorite Walton County eateries and chefs including Embers Bistro, Eagle Springs Restaurant, Cava & Cakes, Chanticleer Eatery, Seagrove Village Market Cafe, The Polished Chef, Old Florida Fish House and Coastal Coffee Bar, while perusing a showcase of artwork from our Artist of the Year gallery. Bradley Copeland, 2023 Artist of the Year, will feature favorite pieces from her studio as well.

Walton County Tourism 2022 Annual Report:

The tourism department presented its 2022 Report on Tourism at the Walton County Chamber of Commerce Business Luncheon on May 8. You can view a copy of the annual report HERE.

Tourism and Hospitality Related Workshops:

WCT hosted three tourism and hospitality-related workshops on Wednesday, May 10 in the Sandestin Beach Resort. Topics included using influencer marketing, making short-form videos, cooperative advertising, and an overview of the Beach Operations department.
