The goal of the sales team is to generate new business opportunities and build awareness of South Walton as a destination for the meetings and conventions, incentives, weddings, and consumer travel markets. We aim to be a trusted source of information while inspiring group travel to South Walton.

CONNECT Spring Marketplace, April 10-13
The Group Sales team and one member of the Marketing team participated in this event that featured an activation booth and two sets of appointments with Corporate and Incentive meeting planners. Our booth showcased the art scene in our destination with two representatives from Mary Hong Studio/The Shard Shop. Planners who stopped by to gather information about Walton County as a meetings destination were given an opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind piece of art using glass shards and all their creativity. We assisted approximately 80 meeting planners with art projects and had more than 60 one-on-one appointments with planners who are actively searching locations for future meetings. To date, we have received and distributed six meeting leads and awaiting more as the sourcing windows continue to open up.

Visitor Center Updates:
The visitor center staff welcomed 1,556 people during the month of April and sold $18,703 in Walton County merchandise. Our featured item for April is our Dri-Fit Performance Shirt.
Dri-Fit Performance Shirt:
Custom South Walton performance shirt with our new "Get Busy Relaxing" bicycle design on the back. Our new design features our towns of Freeport, DeFuniak Springs, Paxton and our 16 beach communities. Our South Walton logo is on the front left chest.
Shirts are made with 4.1 oz. 100 percent Technical Microfiber Polyester that offers UPF 50+ sun protection. Shirts are also made with anti-microbial technology to fight odor.
Available in sizes small to 3XL in Navy, Pink, Light Blue, Columbia Blue, Yellowtail and Miramar (mint green).
