The goal of the sales team is to generate new business opportunities and build awareness of South Walton as a destination for the meetings and conventions, incentives, weddings, and consumer travel markets. We aim to be a trusted source of information while inspiring group travel to South Walton.

Rendezvous South, February 27-March 1:

Event planners and destination teams from across the South come together annually for this limited-attendance, boutique-style event which features all the charms of a unique Southern destination. Known for its relaxed, small-group setting and exceptional personalized service, Rendezvous South inspires warm friendships and lasting business relationships that continue long after the grand finale!

Rendezvous South’s unique format allows planners to meet with multiple stakeholders from each destination during qualified appointments throughout the event.

 

American Bus Association Marketplace, February 4-7:

American Bus Association Marketplace is an appointment-based show for Motorcoach and Tour Operators and Travel Industry Suppliers who want to expand group tour & travel business. We met with tour operators to introduce them to DeFuniak Springs as a stopover or destination to consider adding to their itineraries.

Visitor Center Updates:

The visitor center staff welcomed 2,256 people during the month of February and sold $23,711 in Walton County merchandise. Our featured item for March is our Waterproof Beach Tote.

Waterproof Beach Tote:

Our newest bag is great for the beach and beyond! It measures 12 inches in height, 14 inches in width and 5 inches in diameter. 

 Our Waterproof Beach Tote is available in Navy and in-store for $20.
