SALES + VISITOR CENTER
The goal of the sales team is to generate new business opportunities and build awareness of South Walton as a destination for the meetings and conventions, incentives, weddings, and consumer travel markets. We aim to be a trusted source of information while inspiring group travel to South Walton.
Recent Industry Events:
We offered Group Sales Training for hospitality sales partners and our sales team in January. Training was conducted by Walton County’s own Scott Russell and his business partner, Kate Harth, two of the industry’s best and brightest minds! Their combined experience and real-life examples made this training come to life and provided immediate takeaways to implement into our daily work routines.
This was Level 1 of 3 levels so based on positive feedback from partners, we’ll be planning for Level 2 after the summer season wraps up. Keep an eye out for more information in the coming month.
Independent Planner Education Conference:
The Group Sales team participated in IPEC where we had 20 one-on-one appointments with meeting planners to promote Walton County as a meetings destination. Three meeting leads have been generated and distributed to partners so far!

Visitor Center Updates:
The visitor center staff welcomed 1,565 people during the month of January and sold $13,954.00 in Walton County merchandise. Our featured item for February is our Youth Short-sleeve Sea Turtle Tee.
Youth Short-sleeve Sea Turtle Tee:
Our Youth Sea Turtle Tee is 100% vintage-washed, garment-dyed cotton. Pre-shrunk for a dependable fit wash after wash. "Protecting Our Sea Turtles" is printed on the front along with our South Walton and Beyond the Beach logos and the back is blank.
This tee is currently available in XS-XL in Grey, Blue Jean, Royal Caribe, Crunchberry, and Seafoam
